Kyrgyzstani Ekaterina Tareva secured berth at the Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Argentina. The President of the Federation of the Modern Pentathlon of the Kyrgyz Republic Valery Novikov informed 24.kg news agency.
«This night, joyful news came from the office of the International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) of Monaco. The athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Ekaterina Tareva, secured a berth at the Youth Olympic Games. They will be held in October in Buenos Aires (Argentina),» commented Valery Novikov.
In May, Ekaterina Tareva won a bronze medal at the Asian and Oceania Championships in modern pentathlon U-19, and in July — silver medal at the European Quadrathlon Cup in Georgia.
As of today, Kyrgyzstan’s swimmers Denis Petrashov, Vladislav Shuliko, men’s streetball team, fencer Hasan Budunov and Kyrgyzstan’s weightlifting team have the right to participate in the Games.
