Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan to participate in Open Government summit

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev leaves for Tbilisi (Georgia) to attend Open Government summit.

Today, he plans to meet with the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze. Tomorrow, Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev will hold talks with the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.

At the summit on July 18, Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev will tell about the achievements of Kyrgyzstan after joining the Open Government Partnership.

Kyrgyzstan became the first country in Central Asia to join the Open Government. OGP website says.

The Open Government Partnership is an international platform that unites 74 states and 15 regional governments.

OGP is a unique multilateral initiative, aimed at ensuring concrete commitments by the governments to increase transparency, expand civic engagement, combat corruption and use new technologies to make governments more open, effective and accountable to the citizens.
