Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan gets 5 hemodialysis machines

The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan received 5 hemodialysis machines. The press center of the ministry reported.

According to it, the equipment was handed over by the Public Association «Association of Hemodialysis and Nephrological Patients of the Kyrgyz Republic.»

As the Chairwoman of the organization Venera Tashmanbetova noted, a request for humanitarian assistance was sent to the German company Fresenius several months ago, after several hemodialysis machines broke down at once in Karakol.

«The devices were provided free of charge, three of them were urgently send to the regional center for the state dialysis department of the Issyk-Kul Regional Joint Hospital, two others are to be transported to Talas, they will be installed in the regional hospital,» she noted.

The Ministry of Health noted that there was no queue for hemodialysis. Approximately 600 people undergo the procedure at the expense of the budget, more than 600 people — on a preferential basis through the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund.

«Within the framework of public-private partnership (PPP), Fresenius company in Kyrgyzstan will build a modern hemodialysis center. It is expected to be commissioned in October 2018. The center will be able to place more than 280 patients,» the ministry noted.
