Republican Center for the Rehabilitation and Development of Children with Disabilities will be opened in Kyrgyzstan. This became known at the coordination meeting of the executives of projects of the European Union aimed at supporting vulnerable groups of the population.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Development noted that the center would be established on the basis of a children’s psychoneurological social hospital in Jalal-Abad.
«This unique center will provide a range of services for children with severe disabilities and families, who care for such children. The main tasks of the center will be diagnosis of child development, parent counseling, physical therapy interventions, and rehabilitation of children. In addition, new professions in the field of social work will be introduced,» the ministry noted.
