The State Service for Combating Economic Crimes revealed a fact of extortion by an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The press service of the agency informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the Interior Ministry officer extorted a bribe of $ 4,000 for a positive solution of a problem. The mediator was a lawyer. The Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case under Article 313-2 (mediation in bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The lawyer was caught red-handed when taking 270,000 soms. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek detained him until the end of the investigation.
