Kyrgyzstan to spend about $ 100 mln on providing residents with drinking water

Agreements, totaling about $ 100 million, have been signed in the drinking water supply sector in 2017. Sapar Isakov, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, stated, presenting the report on the activities of the government for 2017 to the parliamentary factions Respublika — Ata Jurt, Onuguu-Progress and Ata Meken.

According to the government’s press service, last year, seven agreements have been signed for a total of about $ 100 million, $ 47.5 million of which were loans and $ 51.3 million — grants.

Earlier, deputies raised the issue of previous projects in the field of water supply. They were interested who, in particular, would be responsible for the implementation of the projects.

Earlier, $ 63 million were attracted to water supply projects. However, 70 percent of the water pipes do not work.
