According to him, more than 700 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in the competition. «Our country was represented by 23 athletes. The competition was high, and they had to try hard to win medals,» Yuriy Ten said. «Olga Hegai (coach Oleg Yugay) and my trainee Polina Gorkovaya became champions. Ilkhami Abdimitaliev, Kiyaz Kalybekov, Sofia Kalacheva, Ramazan Bisengaliev and Arsentiy Khvan became the winners.»
