No official, deputy files tax return in Kyrgyzstan

In early January, Kyrgyzstan launched a campaign on filing tax returns. As the State Tax Service informed 24.kg news agency today, no official or deputy of Parliament has yet reported on his incomes and expenses.

The agency expects that preliminary data on civil servants’ declarations will appear after February 5. The STS reminds: the deadline for filing the declaration is April 1.

Since 2018, persons who replace or occupy a state or municipal position must submit a declaration electronically to the tax authorities, whereas previously they had submitted a declaration of income and expenditures to the State Personnel Service, and the tax return — to the State Tax Service.

Administrative fine of 2,000 soms is provided for individuals and 10,000 soms — for legal entities for late filing of the tax declaration.
