Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have not yet delimited the section of the state border where Ungar-Too is located. Deputy Chairman of the State Border Service Kubatbek Zheenbaev said at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security in the Parliament.
According to him, the issue with the delimitation of the mountain has not yet been resolved, but negotiations continue.
In early autumn, it was reported that 85 percent of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border was demarcated. The agreement on demarcation and delimitation of borders with Uzbekistan was signed during the visit of Almazbek Atambayev to Tashkent. Then Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan decided to jointly use another controversial area — Orto-Tokoy (Kasansay) reservoir in Ala-Buka district of Jalal-Abad region.
