Ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan completes diplomatic mission

Almazbek Atambayev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kyrgyzstan Peter Scholz on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.

During the meeting, the head of state thanked Peter Scholz for his active and fruitful work in Kyrgyzstan, noting his personal role in the development of bilateral Kyrgyz-German cooperation at a qualitatively new level.

According to Almazbek Atambayev, in recent years the parties have managed to establish truly partner and friendly relations between the countries, contacts at all levels have begun to expand, and Kyrgyzstan regards Germany as one of the key partners in cooperation with the European Union.

In his turn, Peter Scholz noted that Kyrgyzstan is going through an important historical stage of development. «You have managed to stabilize the situation very seriously, to build peace. You ensured the holding of democratic elections of a new president of the country and the peaceful transfer of power, creating an important precedent in the region,» the German Ambassador said.
