Mirziyoyev: There are no unresolved issues in relations between Uzbekistan, KR

«There are no unresolved issues in the relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan,» the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in a narrow format today.

The President of Uzbekistan noted that he wants to thank all the people of Kyrgyzstan through Almazbek Atambayev. He stressed that the arrival of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic is a symbol of the continuation of those agreements that the parties had reached during the visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Bishkek in September 2017.

«I think the history will tell. In a short time, we have reached such mutual understanding and relations of fraternal and friendly countries. Our nations will appreciate it. After the meetings in Astana and Beijing, I can say that we have achieved great results in all areas of politics. We do not have any unresolved issues. Everything is going well in trade and economic relations, too. Everything that we saw in Bishkek, Osh and today in Tashkent, proves this. Business finds each other. If we do not interfere, then the trade turnover will only grow,» Shavkat Mirziyoyev believes.

The President of Uzbekistan noted the building of relations in the border areas, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Shavkat Mirziyoyev recalled that today the parties will once again discuss bilateral relations, including military and technical cooperation.

«I am sure that today’s meeting and the state visit will be historical thanks to you and your wisdom. This is because you are scrupulous about our bilateral relations. This is your great personal relationship to Uzbekistan and the Uzbek people and knowledge of its history,» concluded Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
