Three members of Islamic State sentenced in Kyrgyzstan

Three members of the international terrorist organization Islamic State, who arrived to commit terrorist attacks, were sentenced in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the panel of Batken Regional Court issued a decision regarding members of the banned on the territory of Kyrgyzstan Islamic State, who were previously detained by SCNS.

Thus, members of the terrorist organization were found guilty of committing crimes under Articles 27-168 (Preparing for attack), 375 (Recruitment), 241 (Illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, ammunition and explosives), 346 (Illegal crossing of the state border), 350 (Forgery, sale or use of forged documents) and 299 (Incitement of national, racial, religious and other hatred) and were sentenced to 12-15 years with confiscation of property with serving sentence in the penal colony with reinforced regime.

In the course of counterterrorism measures, the bodies of the State National Security Committee suppressed the subversive activities of the terrorist group in the territory of Kyrgyzstan. This group consisted of citizens who had been trained in Syria and Iraq and transferred to Kyrgyzstan to organize and commit terrorist acts against civilians.

In the course of investigative measures at the place of residence of the detainees, material evidence of their criminal activities: Kalashnikov assault rifle, hand grenades, ammunition of various caliber, terrorist and extremist literature, means of communication were found and confiscated.
