Verdict on terrorist attack at Chinese Embassy in Bishkek to be announced

The trial of the terrorist attack at the Embassy of China in Kyrgyzstan continued in the Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek.

After questioning of the defendants, the court proceeded to study of the materials and the arguments of the parties.

The first word was given to the prosecution, who asks 20 years of imprisonment for the defendant Ismailov in the high security regime colony and confiscation of property, Hikmatillo Abdulazhanov — 15 years of imprisonment in a penal colony with confiscation of property, and Mansirova — 12 years in a penal colony.

However, the defense asks the court to acquit Abdulazhanov because of the absence of a crime in his actions.

Abdulazhanov himself said: «I ask the court to make a fair and lawful decision. I have 9 children.»

The accused Mansirova cried. Her lawyer also asked to acquit the defendant because of the absence of a crime in her actions. Next week, the court will probably make a decision.

Recall, an explosion occurred on August 30, 2016 at the Embassy of China in Bishkek. Two embassy gardeners (citizens of Kyrgyzstan) were injured, they were hospitalized with concussion and bruises.

Later, GKNB of Kyrgyzstan made public the names of the suspects in the terrorist act.

The special services announced the search for three people, including a representative of Adal Tour Company in Turkey, 1987, a native of Nookat district of Osh region Mubarak Turganbaev. According to them, it was Turganbaev who coordinated the financing of the terrorist act. Burkhanidin Jantorayev was also put on the wanted list.
