Unique photo exhibition dedicated to Great Victory opens in Bishkek

The main building of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin hosts a photo exhibition «They shield life with themselves…," dedicated to the 72^nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The basis of the exposition consists of copies of posters and photo-newspapers that were not exhibited before and which were published during the war period and revealing the combat activities of Soviet border guards at the fronts. A separate block of posters tells of the exploits of the border guards of the Soviet Kyrgyzstan in the years of the battle with fascism. There are about 40 posters.

«People who don’t remember the history have no future," one of the great ones said. Such message was in the speech of the Rector of KRSU Vladimir Nifadiev and the Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Stalbek Asakeyev to the students who came to the ceremony.

It is important that the younger generation always remember that the peoples of the Soviet Union won the Great Patriotic War. We all together!

After the Victory Day, the exhibition will be transferred to the veteran organization of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
