185 people accused of terrorism serve time in prisons of Kyrgyzstan

At least 185 people accused of terrorism and extremism serve time in prisons of Kyrgyzstan. The State Penitentiary Service (SPS) reported.

According to it, there are seven women and 17 citizens of other states among the convicted.

The SPS notes that those accused of terrorism and extremism continue their activities in places of detention, trying to attract other prisoners to their side.

According to the service, in addition to 185 people deprived of their liberty, 52 more are held in penal colonies and 152 are registered at the corrective services department.
