Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the sphere of implementation of transport and infrastructure projects is attractive and promising for Pakistan. The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif said at a meeting with the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet Sooronbay Jeenbekov. Information Support Department of the government’s executive office reported.
According to it, the meeting was held within the 13th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in the city of Islamabad.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed that Kyrgyzstan cherishes the established relations of friendship and good neighborly relations and is ready to make every effort to deepen the relations in all spheres of cooperation. On this occasion, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic has invited his Pakistani counterpart to participate in the Global Summit on Snow Leopard Conservation, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan in September 2017.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the spheres of transport communications and energy are priorities for cooperation. Kyrgyzstan is actively negotiating with its partners to implement the project on construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway.
«The Kyrgyz side is very interested in getting access to Pakistani ports of Karachi and Gwadar in the framework of the implementation of infrastructure projects," the Prime Minister said.
