Cost of electricity in Kyrgyzstan in 2016 decreases

Production cost of a kilowatt-hour of electricity in Kyrgyzstan in 2016 was 43.8 tyiyn, the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use reported to 24.kg news agency.

It is noted that this figure was determined excluding imports. In 2015, the cost was 45.4 tyiyn per kilowatt.

Over the past year, power generation by Electric Stations JSC amounted to 12, 843.6 billion kilowatt-hours with the plan of 13, 225.91 billion. Generation declined due to favorable weather conditions and lower consumption.
