Kyrgyzstan begins work to evacuate citizens from the Middle East

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (MFA) has begun negotiations with several Middle Eastern countries to organize evacuation flights for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, following instructions from President Sadyr Japarov.

This includes cooperation with the authorities of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman.

The ministry is closely monitoring the situation and will report further on the results of the negotiations.

The MFA advises Kyrgyzstanis currently staying in Middle Eastern countries to exercise heightened caution, avoid crowded and potentially dangerous areas, comply with the instructions of local authorities and law enforcement agencies, keep identification documents and embassy contact information on hand, and follow official updates.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, as of March 2, there are approximately 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Middle Eastern countries.

Of these, approximately 6,000 are in Saudi Arabia (mostly Umrah pilgrims), and about 10,000 are in the United Arab Emirates. The remaining citizens are in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Israel, and other countries in the region.
