Turkey severs all relations with Israel - Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement

Turkey has severed all relations with Israel and will not try to restore them, the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. TRT Haber TV channel reported.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan also said that Turkey is doing everything possible to increase pressure on Israel and take coercive measures based on international law. According to him, Turkey has become the republic that has given the strongest reaction to Israel’s actions, including the cessation of trade, and has taken the most concrete steps in this direction.

«At present, we, the state and government of the Republic of Turkey, have severed relations with Israel. At the moment, we have no relations with it. And in the future, we will not take any steps to improve these relations,» the head of state emphasized, adding that Turkey will stand by Palestine until the end.

On October 15, Recep Tayyip Erdogan also said that Turkey was «the only state that not only showed the strongest reaction to the massacres in Gaza, but also took concrete measures against Israel.»
