A Memorandum on the establishment of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was signed within the framework of the 11th summit of the OTS in Bishkek. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Melis Turgunbaev, as well as the heads of the central banks of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan — Taleh Kazimov, Timur Suleimenov, Fatih Karakhan and Mamarizo Nurmuratov.
The Council is being established to strengthen cooperation and exchange experience between the central banks of the OTS countries. The main tasks of the Council include holding of joint consultations and research in the field of monetary policy, financial stability, development of payment systems and financial technologies.
