Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are negotiating the creation of a national space system for remote sensing of the Earth, the press service of Azercosmos Space Agency reported.
The discussions took place within the framework of the International Astronautical Congress, which was held in Milan. During the event, recommendations and mutually beneficial proposals regarding this project were voiced.
Azerbaijan is reportedly striving to form a space ecosystem within the country. The first step towards this goal was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Azercosmos and the Chinese technology company Star Vision this summer.
The main area of cooperation is the joint development and implementation of algorithms for satellite and orbital tests using artificial intelligence technologies proposed by Star Vision.
