Kyrgyzstan introduces visa-free regime for organized tourist groups from China

Kyrgyzstan has introduced a visa-free regime for organized tourist groups from China. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov said at a meeting with Vice Chairperson of the All-China Committee of the People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairperson of the All-China Women’s Federation Shen Yueyue as part of participation in China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum.

The parties discussed current issues of cooperation, including the development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and cooperation within international organizations.

Edil Baisalov noted that under the leadership of the leaders of the two countries, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China continues to actively develop also as the next stage in deepening bilateral cooperation.

He announced the start of a visa-free regime for organized tourist groups from China. This measure will intensify cooperation in the field of public diplomacy and increase the attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan for the most popular tourist market today.

Edil Baisalov noted the joint projects that are currently being implemented with the Chinese side in Kyrgyzstan, including infrastructure, energy, industrial, and educational projects. He cited as an example the successful experience of cooperation in the creation of Luban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan, which was recently opened at the Iskhak Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University.

Shen Yueyue emphasized interest in strengthening bilateral relations in various areas and expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for supporting the initiatives of the People’s Republic of China.
