The 24-hour operation of Karkyra checkpoint will eliminate congestion of trucks and cars. Deputy Director of the Border Service Taalaibek Tazhibaev announced at a meeting of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
The deputies approved ratification of the protocol on amendments to the agreement between the governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan on checkpoints across the state border in the third reading. According to the document, Karkyra-Avtodorozhny checkpoint will now operate around the clock.
Taalaibek Tazhibaev noted that the new operating mode will help reduce queues at checkpoints and eliminate congestion of trucks on Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan border.
