The collectible silver coin Tai Tuyak from the «Historical Events» series took the third place at the XVIII international coin competition Coin Constellation — 2024 in the nomination «Silver Coin of the Year», the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reports.
A special jury, which included specialists from auction houses, major museums, numismatic societies and specialized publications on coins from different countries, evaluated the submitted nominations.
The best silver coins were selected from 24 participants representing 18 countries of the world according to several criteria: general impression of the coin, elaboration of the theme, design, artistic execution, quality of manufacture.
The coin Tai Tuyak was issued by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2023 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency and is dedicated to the ancient history of money.
