Finalists of Girls in IT project, implemented by Wildberries with the support of Ene-Balaga Tirek Public Foundation, Kyrgyz Pochtasy and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, were awarded in Bishkek.
The social project Girls in IT is aimed at developing female entrepreneurship and will help girls in the country get a high-quality and affordable education for a quick start in modern digital professions.
At least 30 girls from vocational schools throughout the republic were selected to participate in the pilot project. The training was conducted in the summer 2024 under the coordination of Wildberries Art Director Dmitry Matveyev and with the participation of the company’s experts in the field of design and HR.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science Abazbek uulu Rasul noted that the modern education system should prepare a person for a rapidly changing world. Mastering additional skills and digitalization are included in the priority areas for the development of education in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024-2026. «Participation in such projects gives our youth the opportunity to not only gain in-demand skills from experts, but also to become more confident, grow and develop further,» he added.
The project finalists successfully presented their graduation papers and were awarded certificates and gifts. All 30 participants received laptops and valuable prizes that will help them in using their professional skills and subsequent training. In addition, all graduates of the course are recommended to Wildberries partners in Kyrgyzstan as entry-level specialists capable of creating product cards, designing social media accounts and completing design tasks.
Wildberries has been operating in the Kyrgyz Republic since 2017, closely cooperating with local businesses and holding various educational workshops for entrepreneurs, developing services for partners and customers.
