World meat prices grow by 4.8 percent in September

World meat prices increased by an average of 4.8 percent in September compared to last year. Compared to the previous month, the increase was 0.4 percent. The website of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) says.

FAO analysts report that the increase is due to a growth in poultry prices, which primarily reflects high import demand for Brazilian meat after the easing of trade restrictions related to avian pneumoencephalitis.

Cattle meat prices remained stable throughout the world. World pork prices also remained unchanged. Global mutton prices decreased slightly, which is mainly due to the still sluggish demand for imports from China.
