The Ministry of Transport promises to repair roads leading to tourist attractions in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the press service of the ministry, asphalt concrete is already being laid on a 3.5-kilometer section of the road leading to Karakol ski resort. A sidewalk for pedestrians has also been made along the road and a parking lot has been built. The road to Karakol ski resort, which was previously under the jurisdiction of local authorities, was transferred to the balance sheet of the Ministry of Transport and Communications in 2023.
It is noted that the road leading to Arstanbap walnut forest and Sary-Chelek biosphere reserve is currently being repaired. The road to Ala-Archa Nature Park in Chui region and Koi-Tash — Uzun-Kyr highway leading to Teplye Klyuchi health center have been also paved this year. Three kilometers of Krasnaya Rechka — Issyk-Ata road leading to the resort have been paved.
Roads leading to Vityaz, Lazurny Bereg, Zhetigen, Nur, Altyn Kum, Tolkun, Tulpar, Kyrgyzskoye Vzmorye and Aalam resorts, located on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, have been repaired. A road to Raduga, Plamya and Ai-Kol recreation areas has also been paved.
It is planned to repair roads to other tourist sites and recreation areas, the ministry added.
