Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and China in the period from January to July 2024 amounted to $3,613.1 billion. Such figures were announced at a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Iskender Asylkulov, with a delegation of the State Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China, headed by Deputy Director of the Department for the Administration of Foreign Capital and Provision of Investment Abroad Zhang Jianhua.
The parties noted a record increase in trade between the countries. Compared to the same period in 2023, it increased by more than 33.3 percent.
It was also noted that Kyrgyzstan has potential for all-season tourism thanks to the diversity of landscapes and climatic conditions, which makes it an attractive destination for both winter and summer recreation. The most promising projects have been developed on the creation of a ski cluster, sports complexes, about 32 rehabilitation and health resorts, small airports and glampings worth more than $2 billion.
The parties agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation in the fields of power industry, agriculture, tourism and industry.
