President of Kyrgyzstan meets with Japanese businessmen

The President of Kyrgyzstan met with business representatives from Japan.

Sadyr Japarov stressed the importance of discussing opportunities for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan. He noted that joint efforts can help create new prospects for business and emphasized that Kyrgyzstan has been implementing reforms in almost all major areas of the country’s life since 2021.

«A decisive fight against corruption, which widely affects the economy, governance and society, has been declared in the country. Every effort is being made to ensure that Kyrgyzstan becomes a country, where every citizen and foreign investor can feel safe and conduct their business calmly,» the statement says.

The head of state also noted that as a result of the reform of tax legislation, a liberal tax regime was set in the country. Constant work is underway to improve tax management, including the introduction of digital technologies in the activities of tax authorities, which creates conditions for ensuring the transparency of the tax system.

According to him, the flow of foreign direct investment into the country’s economy has increased significantly, emphasizing that Kyrgyzstan remains open to active dialogue and cooperation with foreign partners.

Representatives of Japan voiced their interest in cooperation in areas such as medicine, including the creation of diagnostic centers and training of medical personnel at these institutions. They also expressed their willingness to work in areas such as banking, tourism, power industry and sports.

Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev was instructed to maintain close contact with Japanese businessmen and provide them with comprehensive assistance in resolving emerging issues.
