The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported the detention of several officials in Jumgal district, Naryn region on suspicion of abuse of office. Among those detained are the deputy head of the district state administration, the head and deputy heads of local governments, as well as a number of other heads and employees of state bodies, eight people in total.
The area of these plots is 2.84 hectares, their estimated value is 95 million soms.
The officials, who are members of the land amnesty commission, are accused of forgery of documents and abuse of office, which led to the illegal allocation of plots. Local residents have already begun construction on these plots, having erected foundations for residential buildings.
Additional investigative actions are being carried out to identify all people involved in the crimes.
