Electronic queue for trucks to be launched at Kyzyl-Kiya checkpoint

A pilot project on an electronic queue management for trucks has begun at Kyzyl-Kiya border checkpoint. The Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The initiative is aimed at optimizing logistics processes and facilitating cross-border trade within the framework of the Concept for Development of the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2022-2024.

The project is supported by the International Trade Center and financed by the European Union. It will start on November 1 and will last until December 15. The main goal of introduction of an electronic queue is to speed up border crossing, reduce logistics costs and improve conditions for participants in foreign economic activity, especially small and medium-sized businesses.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Customs Service and the International Trade Center visited Kyzyl-Kiya checkpoint on August 27 to familiarize themselves with the new system. A workshop was held during the visit for Customs and Border Service employees on transition to new technologies.
