According to preliminary information, a mudflow occurred in Issyk-Kul district of Issyk-Kul region as a result of heavy rains. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the ministry, roads, streets and private houses in Toguz-Bulak area of Cholpon-Ata city were flooded. The water overflowed the banks of Zhudomush canal.
Employees of Issyk-Kul district emergency department created an operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather. The civil defense services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are clearing road drainage systems and eliminating blocks on rivers.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that several streets in Bosteri and Baktuu-Dolonotu villages were flooded.
Rescuers temporarily evacuated one family from Baktuu-Dolonotu village to a safe place.
