Almost a ton of wild hemp burned in Talas region

Law enforcement officers burned almost one ton of wild hemp in Bakai-Ata district. The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of Talas region informed 24.kg news agency.

Officers of Drug Control Service of the Internal Affairs Department of Talas region, the Bakai-Ata district police department and employees of Bakai-Ata and Kumushtak rural districts mowed down wild hemp on 60 ares. According to the police, destruction of the narcotic plant is being carried out as part of prevention measures among the local population.

Wild hemp was collected in the foothills, along roads, irrigation ditches and rivers. Almost a ton of the plant was collected for two days.
