Russian woman suspected of fraud fled to Kyrgyzstan, facing extradition

Kyrgyzstan will extradite Polina Pascal, accused of a series of frauds, to Russia. The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation reports.

According to it, the Russian citizen is suspected of participating in a criminal organization and fraud on an especially large scale. The maximum punishment for each count of the indictment is up to ten years in prison.

According to investigators, she introduced herself to Moscow residents as an employee of a management company and stole money from victims under the pretext of replacing or installing plumbing fixtures unnecessarily. Between September 30, 2019 and January 24, 2020, Polina Pascal and her accomplices stole more than 14 million rubles from 196 people.

Polina Pascal was detained in Kyrgyzstan in May 2024. After that, Russian law enforcement officers sent a request for the extradition of the suspect. Now she is awaiting extradition to Moscow. Employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation have already arrived in Bishkek.
