The Alamedin District Court of Chui region chose a preventive measure for the owner of Fly Jump sports complex, where a man died after bungee jumping from a cliff.
By a court decision, the accused was placed under house arrest.
«When choosing a preventive measure, the court proceeded from the requirements of Article 114 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, namely, the latter is accused of committing a less serious crime, has not been previously convicted, has a permanent place of residence, he has been identified, and was not hiding from the investigative authorities and the court. Accordingly, there were no legal grounds for choosing another preventive measure,» the statement says.
The accident happened on July 6 at about 1.30 p.m. in Fly Jump sports complex, located in the village of Tatyr, Alamedin district. The man jumped with a rope from 25 meters, at that moment the rope broke. The 39-year-old man died on the spot.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 297 «Creating danger to consumers» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
