Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Musa Dzhamanbaev met with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The parties discussed the current state and promising areas of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
Current issues regarding the implementation of large joint projects in the transport and logistics sector, hydropower were especially noted. An exchange of views also took place on the development of new promising joint projects for industrial cooperation and other areas of mutual interest.
Issues of preparation and holding of the upcoming Kyrgyz-Uzbek Business Forum were discussed. The activities of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the implementation of current projects were considered, as well as the possibility of increasing the authorized capital of the fund to $200 million.
The republics intend to open trading houses in their capitals.
