Sanctions against Moscow Exchange hamper work of banks in Kyrgyzstan

A new package of sanctions imposed by the U.S. Department of Treasury against the Moscow Exchange has hampered the work of a number of organizations around the world. The Chairman of the Board of Aiyl Bank Tilek Alimdzhanov said. Lenta.ru reports.

It is noted that at the end of June, U.S. officials visited representatives of Kyrgyz banks to find out how the former Soviet republic cooperates with Russia, how the exchange of funds and work processes are built. According to Tilek Alimdzhanov, local banks have felt the effects of the new sanctions and Western partners are seeking to shield them from the Russian market.

«The biggest problem today is that we don’t know what sanctions the Americans and Europeans will impose tomorrow and what rules and regulations they will set so that we can transfer money. We send dollars or euros through our correspondent banks, and every day some rules are introduced in their work, and it is impossible to predict what will happen. How do we fight this and what can we offer? Nothing. Unfortunately, there is «Big Brother» trying to impose its rules,» the bank representative added during TokenTalks conference, organized by the licensed exchange TokenSpot.
