Small Ysyk-Ata-1 HPP launched in Chui region

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov took part in the opening and launch of the small hydropower plant (HPP) Ysyk-Ata-1 with a capacity of 2 megawatts in Chui region. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

«With the commissioning of this hydropower plant, we are implementing the presidential decree. As part of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, 100 enterprises will be opened throughout the republic, including this small hydropower station. In the coming years, dozens of electric, solar and wind power stations will be built in our country. We have begun the construction of the century — Kambarata HPP-1 and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which will be the shortest road from Shanghai to Paris,» the head of the Cabinet said.

Akylbek Japarov noted that the opening of this small hydropower plant is the result of joint efforts of the state and the private sector aimed at improving the country’s energy infrastructure.

«We are happy to open every enterprise in our country and wish them prosperity and development,» he concluded.
