A 13-year-old girl was systematically raped for almost a year in Sokuluk. The press service of the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan reports.
According to it, the girl’s parents met with the Ombudsperson Jamilya Jamanbaeva. They asked to protect the rights of their child, since law enforcement agencies are not taking measures to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The girl’s mother burst into tears and told that their family was being persecuted, they were threatened by relatives of nine guys who raped their minor daughter for almost a year.
«According to the mother of the girl, in Sokuluk, her 13-year-old daughter was systematically raped by nine guys aged 19-22 since April 2023. They used threats and blackmailing to force her to remain silent. The girl was afraid to tell her parents. During this time, she attempted suicide three times. In January of this year, the girl went missing and was found only 20 days later. When clarifying the circumstances, the girl told the youth liaison officer all the details and what hell she had gone through during this time. And only after that the parents found out about it and wrote a statement to the police,» the Ombudsman’s press service said.
However, according to the affected party, the Sokuluk District Department of Internal Affairs is not taking any action to bring the perpetrators to justice.
As it turned out, the 13-year-old girl was tricked into a car by a 20-year-old guy in April last year, taken out of town and raped. He threatened that if she did not remain silent, she would be raped by 40 men. Then he left her alone in the field. Then he returned, brought her to Sokuluk and handed the girl in a state of shock to his friend so that he could take her home.
«After this, my daughter’s life turned into a real hell. Some guys were waiting for her near school or home, threatening her, and forcing her to get into their car. They blackmailed her and raped. Nine guys systematically raped my daughter for a year with threats and blackmailing, forcing her to remain silent about it,» the mother said.
The girl’s psychological condition is serious; she needed the help of specialists. She is in the hospital.
The guys’ relatives, according to the parents, harass the victim’s family and constantly threaten them. Other children in the family also receive threats — the youngest daughter is bullied at school, since a relative of one of the perpetrators spread rumors about what happened.
The girl’s parents do not know whether a criminal case has been opened or whether the perpetrators will be punished. The woman asks for help in punishing all those responsible.
The Ombudsperson is preparing official letters to the relevant government agencies demanding from them to immediately take measures to ensure the protection of the girl’s rights and her safety. In addition, on behalf of Jamilya Jamanbaeva, the parents were provided with a free lawyer. Measures are also being taken to provide psychological assistance to the girl and her family.
