Eight people injured in earthquake in Almaty

Eight people were injured in the earthquake in Almaty. The Kazakh media reported.

According to their data, people were injured when running out of the houses or jumping out of windows.

«Three people were injured due to jumping out of the second and third floors of residential buildings. Two of the injured have been sent for outpatient treatment after medical examination. The condition of the third patient is assessed as serious, he was hospitalized. Five received injuries when running out of the houses. After rendering all necessary medical care, they were sent for outpatient treatment,» the media quoted the Almaty Health Department as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the epicenter was located on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan. Residents of Issyk-Kul, Naryn and Chui regions reported strong tremors. The earthquake was also felt by residents of Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Bishkek residents felt the tremors of magnitude 4-5. No casualties and destruction were reported.
