Representatives of more than 50 Russian and Kyrgyz companies signed five agreements, which provide, in particular, for the supply of fabric samples and accessories, tailoring services, and the joint development of brands and collections. According to the press service, meetings and negotiations took place at the end of 2023 within the framework of the Russian-Kyrgyz exchange of contacts in the field of textile and garment industries. Provision of garment workshops with new orders, provision of qualified tailoring services and diversification of the supply of fabric and accessories were discussed. It was organized by the Corporation together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«In the context of sanctions and changes in production chains, it is important to help our small and medium-sized businesses build new cooperative ties with enterprises in friendly countries. One of the areas in which our small and medium enterprises are actively looking for new partners is clothing production. At the same time, there are enough companies in other countries that are ready to become suppliers to Russian enterprises. By holding contact exchanges, we help them meet each other, exchange requests and proposals, conduct productive negotiations and reach agreements on joint work,» the head of the corporation, Alexander Isaevich, said.
After continuation of negotiations, at least five more cooperation agreements are expected to be signed in 2024, including within the framework of the next online negotiation session, the press service explained.
Assistance in finding foreign partners, building international contacts and developing cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises of friendly countries is one of the tasks that is being addressed within the framework of the national project «Small and Medium Enterprises».
