The son of a deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan was detained on the fact of laundering of money of an organized crime group. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
The man was detained within the case on laundering of money earned by criminal means by Kamchybek Asanbek (Kamchi Kolbaev).
«On December 6, the son of a deputy of the Parliament was detained. He was charged with committing a crime — money laundering. The Oktyabrsky District Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention,» the statement says.
According to some reports, it is the son of ex-member of Parliament Dinara Isaeva Aziz Myrzabekov.
The SCNS notes that the detainee, being aware of the criminal activities of Kamchi Kolbaev and his entourage, in order to give legitimacy to the property obtained by criminal means, as well as to conceal the rightful owner, registered an armored car Lexus LX570 2020 in his name. The car was used by Kamchi Kolbaev and other members of his organized crime group.
The arrested man has a large amount of property, including 24 apartments in the elite Business Bay area of Dubai. Their total cost is more than $4.5 million.
Currently, the department of the State Committee for National Security for Chui region continues relevant investigative and operational measures to detect and return to the state the property belonging to Kamchybek Asanbek.
