The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi.
A signing ceremony of the charter and constituent documents of the Kyrgyz-Emirati joint Abu Dhabi Kyrgyz Investment Holding Company took place.
The main goal of creation of the holding is to attract direct investment from the UAE into the economy of Kyrgyzstan to finance priority investment projects.
The parties exchanged views on potential economic cooperation and strategic investment opportunities.
Sadyr Japarov stressed that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the development of friendly relations with the UAE and is trying to develop and strengthen mutually beneficial partnership in all areas, in particular in the trade, economic and investment spheres. He also noted the fruitful history of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund.
According to the head of state, Abu Dhabi Kyrgyz Investment will be a good example of investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates.
Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi noted that the country’s leadership highly appreciates the success in strengthening ties with the Kyrgyz Republic and values the established interaction, regardless of the joint projects that are being implemented.
