Kyrgyzstani Belek Barakanov took the second place at the World Sambo Championships, which started the day before in Armenia. The International Sambo Federation reported.
In the weight category up to 64 kilograms, he defeated athletes from Tajikistan, the USA, Italy, Mongolia, but lost to Vladimir Leontyev from Russia in the final.
Kyrgyzstanis will continue the fight for medals today.
