The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan will allocate 100 million soms for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.

Deputy Shailoobek Atazov believes that this is not enough. He noted that 109 soms are allocated to athletes for meals per day, and asked to increase this amount.

Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance Zhibek Duisheyeva responded that work is underway on this issue and new figures will be available from January next year.

Shailoobek Atazov stressed that domestic sports are developing only thanks to sponsors, and turned to the representative of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers in the Parliament Almasbek Abytov with a request to increase funding for participants in the 2024 Olympics to 500 million soms.
