Kyrgyzstan to abolish licenses for trading activities from January 1, 2024

Licenses for trading activities are valid until January 1, 2024. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan reminds.

Entrepreneurs working in markets and mini-markets are asked to choose other options. For example, switch to a simplified taxation system based on a single tax with a rate of 0.1 percent.

There is a special tax on activities in the trade zone with a special regime in Dordoi and Turatali Bazaary markets (Kara-Suu shopping and entertainment complex), according to which the rate is set depending on the declared volume of revenue.

As for other trading entities that have no right to apply the aforementioned tax regimes, the following is provided:

  • Unlimited tax exemption for individual entrepreneurs with an annual revenue from the sale of goods, works, and services of up to 8 million soms, who comply with the requirements for the use of cash registers;
  • Application of a single tax at rates depending on the type of activity in the following amounts for trading activities carried out:

a) By an entity, with the exception of an importer, exporter, distributor and an entity selling fuels and lubricants, medicines and medical products, whose revenue for the last 12 consecutive months is:

  • Up to 30 million soms — 0.5 percent;
  • From 30 to 50 million soms — 1 percent;

b) By an entity not specified in subparagraph «a»:

  • 4 percent — in cash;
  • 2 percent — in non-cash form;
  • 4 percent — to an impersonal entity.
