As of the beginning of 2022, at least 1,387,551 vehicles were registered in the republic. The Ministry of Transport and Communications provided such data.
Including there were 1,103.4 million light cars, 234,600 trucks and 49,500 passenger vehicles in the republic. Compared to 2016, the number of vehicles increased by 29 percent. Number of light cars increased by 24 percent, cargo vehicles — by 73 percent and passenger cars — by 4 percent.
The Ministry of Transport plans to introduce a fee for the maintenance and repair of roads. It will be paid from each liter of fuel when refueling the vehicle.
