Mirlan Uraimov, a member of Butun Kyrgyzstan party, was sentenced by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek to one year in prison. The political organization informed 24.kg news agency.
According to lawyer Yulia Bogdanova, Mirlan Uraimov was found guilty on charges of cyber sabotage (Article 321).
He was taken into custody in the courtroom. Lawyers intend to appeal the decision.
Mirlan Uraimov was detained on February 8. He is suspected of public calls for a violent seizure of power. A post was published on the social media, allegedly written by a user under the nickname Mirlan Uraimov. It says in Kyrgyz that the government needs to be changed, that it is not working well. The detainee himself says that he did not write this.
Mirlan Uraimov was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security on February 10. The measure of restraint was changed for him later.
