Ex-accountant of education center of Sverdlovsky district of Bishkek detained

The former chief accountant of an education center of Sverdlovsky district of Bishkek was detained on charges of complicity in a corruption scheme with the withdrawal and embezzlement of funds from contractors. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

While trying to leave the state, the former chief accountant was detained within the framework of the previously initiated criminal case on the fact of misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property against the employees of the center, where, according to the results of the audit, damage to the state in the amount of 8,637 million soms was revealed.

According to the investigators, the suspect knew that the case was being investigated and had previously pledged to come for interrogations. But she did not keep her promise and tried to flee.

The woman was detained at Ak-Zhol checkpoint and placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS. The investigation continues.
