Crime boss Ulan Toktosunov, nicknamed Sakal, is being transferred from Naryn pretrial detention center No. 4 to the pretrial detention center 1 in Bishkek. His lawyers informed 24.kg news agency.
According to Baktybek Zhumashev, the reasons for the transfer of Ulan Toktosunov to the capital’s pretrial detention center 1 are unknown.
«This morning, special forces entered the cell of Ulan Toktosunov, he was informed about transfer to the capital’s pretrial detention center. He was convicted and served his sentence in Naryn. Why he is being transferred is not clear, because he is not under investigation. We are afraid that the scenario of the murder of Chyngyz Dzhumagulov (Doo Chyngyz) will repeat with my client in the pretrial detention center 1 in Bishkek,» Baktybek Zhumashev said.
Ulan Toktosunov was put on the interstate wanted list in May 2015 in the case on the murder of Damir Saparbekov, a member of the organized criminal group of Kamchi Kolbaev. The crime occurred on the basis of criminal showdowns. A criminal case was initiated under Article 97 «Murder» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Before he was taken into custody, Ulan Toktosunov was hiding in Turkey.
In December 2016, the Pervomaisky District Court found him guilty under several articles and sentenced to 17 years in a penal colony with a high security regime.
